Valentine Circle Skirt

So I think I am becoming slightly Valentine obsessed, I'm having way to much fun making all things Valentines!

I have been wanting to try the Circle Skirt tutorial from Made and decided a Valentine skirt would be the perfect time. This is a SUPER easy, cute, and inexpensive skirt to make. I can only imagine how much easier it would be if you had a serger. As it was I had to hem the top before attaching the elastic and hem the bottom. You could easily shave off twenty plus minutes not have to iron and fold the hems. All in all though an easy, cute project. I will be making a few more for sure.

I made the skirt last night while my little one was sleeping and this morning when she woke I went in to get her and get her ready for church. I said "Look what I made you last night" and my little Lulu said "My skirt! I love it! Thank you!" She is always so cute and appreciative of everything I make for her.

So cute! Go check out MADE and all the great tutorials she has to offer. I know you will find a ton of stuff to make.

Valentine's Bunting

My good friend Malarie and I have a whole list of fun Valentine crafts/decor we want to do for our home. We had kind of discussed what we wanted to do and didn't really have anything set in stone to do together, but still we both came up with our lists bunting, wreath, etc. we both went to our favorite craft stores (we were supposed to go together but I had a sick child), and both found that we were inspired by the same fabric...

This fabric changed everything. Next thing we knew we were on task to do pretty much the same projects, even in the exact same color schemes. What was going to be traditional valentine decor in red, pink and white quickly changed to black, hot pink and light pink!

To kick of our Valentine crafting party we started with Valentine's day buntings or banners inspired by this tutorial here and our great fabric find!

My rock wall above my fireplace is huge!!! So my banner is 140 inches!! But I LOVE IT!

We have 5 more fun projects planned and I am also going to make some valentine skirts for my girls. I can't wait to get started on our next project next week. Diet coke, pizza, crafting and our toddlers running around makes for a very fun and exciting day!

Pom Pom Necklaces and Headbands

So a week ago me and my good friend Malarie had a craft day where we made pom necklaces and headbands, ate burgers and drank diet cokes; because that's how we roll. Oh and I guess you could say we also took care of our two toddlers too.

Anywho we had a great ole time laughing, talking and crafting and these necklaces and headbands are not only super cute, they are a great quick project even with kids under foot :) We got the idea for the headbands from this great website here, called Little Miss Momma,
great sight with many cute ideas.

I made this great necklace as a treat for myself.

And I made this bundle of fun headbands for my 10 year old daughter in her school uniform colors, and the one with two little pom poms I made for my 2 year old.

So now go hop to it and get busy making your kids some fabulous new headbands and yourself a fabulous new necklace.

I really have been crafting...

I have not blogged in forever, on any of my blogs and I have made a promise to repent! I really love to craft and I am actually taking more time to do it lately so I am going to do a catch up lump some post with some of the things I have made in the last few months, but sadly I can't even remember everything!

To start off my little sister just had beautiful twin babies, Kaden and Kenzie, they are adorable and she is my first sibling to have a baby! So in honor of her new sweeties I made her a nursing cover modeled by mom (my mom did not want to be the model, but it was her, my 2 year old, 10 year old or my husband, she won) who was out visiting and took it back with her. I used this tutorial here, and it was super EASY! I also made car seat covers for both babies (sorry no picture, because I don't have a car seat lying around and they live in another state) only I used cotton not fleece, using a combination of tutorials, but mostly this one here. And lastly I made burp cloths using flannel and terry cloth.

For Christmas I made ton of rice logs using this tutorial here.

My youngest also got a play kitchen for Christmas and mom just had to make her a little apron to go with it (picture to follow when I remember to take it and she is not sleeping). I also made an apron for my mom, but didn't get a picture of that.

Like I said , I know I've made more, but honestly can't think at the moment.

Happy crafting!
