A place to journal my successes and my failed attempts in the world of crafting and cooking, as I strive to become the domesticated crafty mom I long to be. This blog is intended as more of a journal for me, but for those who take a peak or two, maybe you can be inspired or please comment and inspire me... Now how do I turn on this sewing machine?

Why this blog...

First off my Husband says the reason women blog is to show off and brag, well I promise that is not my intention, for that is so not my personality. The reason I blog is to journal...

Now. for anyone who knows me you know that I love to cook new things, crochet, needlepoint and scrapbook, I also enjoy making crafts and I am just learning a new skill and passion for sewing. I am not claiming to be great or even good at any of these things (especially sewing), but I truly enjoy them. I wanted to start a blog where I could keep track of all my projects that I finish and accomplish, this is a record I want to keep for both me and my girls.

The only reason I am not marking this blog private, for my use only, is because I want to encourage other moms to try something new, to find their inner self screaming to get out. Although I could never see myself as a pioneer woman I often find myself longing for those simpler times, where you made homemade cookies on a regular basis, and families always sat down to a home cooked meal, toys, clothes, and bedding were all made by Mother's gentle hand, I long for the plain and simple life....
