Clay Pot Bats

A fun easy craft to make with your kids.

We love Halloween and are always looking for fun crafts to make, that are simple enough that my daughter can join in on the fun. This year we made Clay Pot Bats. She painted and decorated the face, while I hot glued and wrote names and did the face. You can go super fancy or super simple, but the most important part you get to have fun.

Clay pot bats

Get a small clay pot and paint black for the body.

The head is made out of a round wooden ball with a flat bottom (this is either a small or medium size) you can just match the size that fits with the clay pot size you desire, and paint black.

The wings and ears are made out of craft foam, and are just hot glued to the side of the pot, and top of the head.

Small squiggly eyes, and puff paint were used for decorating.

Voila adorable bats to adorn your home at Halloween time!!!

Spinach Lasagna

Tonight I made Spinach Lasagna from Kraft Foods, it was super yummy. I would definitely make it again. We love Lasagna, but are watching the calories and don't like to eat a lot of meat, if you are following weight watchers given their calorie information, it is 7 points.

Here is the link if you want to try it: http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/recipes/spinach-lasagna-51636.aspx

Flower clip holder.

I found this cute flower hook at Walmart ($1.97) and painted it to match Ava's bedding (done in pink and brown) and then hemmed a pink and brown striped ribbon (its about 18 inches long, would have shown the whole thing but wanted you to be able to see the flower) and hooked an old key ring to it. I have added some brown dry brush to the center since I took the picture. Super simple and super cheap. And it looks cute hanging on the wall above the changing table, and a plus because its a hook I can add more ribbons as needed to the same hook. I made a matching one for Ava's jacket to hang on as well. Oh, the ribbon I got in Michael's $1 bin.
